Traditional Media coverage. Community dissemination and new media. Report writing – 1 ECTS

Detail:This lesson looks at how best an academic can disseminate his or her research findings. It starts by considering traditional media coverage (e.g. newspapers, magazines, radio & TV) and then goes on to look at how best to use new media (e.g. social media such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter etc) to engage with communities with shared interest. Finally, the lesson looks at the key skill of report writing in the context of making complex topics readily understandable to nonspecialists.
