Heat transfer with phase change: analytical and numerical modelling – 2.5 ECTS
Detail:The aim of this lesson is to present fundamental issues of basic modes of heat transfer, i.e. heat conduction, convective heat transfer and radiation. For each case fundamental laws (constitutive equations) are introduced and heat transfer mechanism are described on the physical basis. Then governing equations (e.g. differential heat conduction equation) are discussed in details. Also, specific computational algorithms for quantitative analysis of simple heat transfer problems are introduced.
