Sensible heat storage – 1 ECTS

Detail: Thermal energy storage can be accomplished either by using sensible heat, latent heat, heat of physical sorption or heat of chemical sorption.

The development of TES required having a good understanding of the physical processes involved in each storage technology. Moreover, pros and cons have to be analysed prior to any design. This lesson will introduce the student to sensible heat storage concepts as well as solutions to use it in TES systems.
