Detail:This lesson presents the importance of a correct R & D approach in order to achieve feasible commercial solutions in the thermal storage area of CSP plants. The explained methodology is also a general lesson for any development. The lesson highlights the importance of technology validation through pilot scale and demonstration scale, such as the best way to identify and solve technical problems in order to validate commercial scale development.
