Selection of TES for given boundary conditions in buildings – 1 ECTS
Detail:The present lesson is restricted to active storage systems for heating and cooling building applications. The methodology has two major steps. The first step consists in defining the thermodynamic requirement of the storage systems which depends on the adopted storage strategy. The second step is the actual selection and sizing of the storage system. This step involves a simple characterization of the storage system which ensures that the required storage / release powers will be achieved when the storage system is connected to the sources and the heating / cooling system of the building.
